When it comes to fundraising, nothing is out of bounds. Whether you choose to hold a tea and cake morning with friends, or organise a grand gala event, your support is greatly valued. Below, you will find some inspiration for your fundraising ideas. Remember to choose something that you have a passion for as this will make the organisation (and participation) much more fun!
However, fundraising comes in all forms, and if you’re not able to participate in an event, then please consider joining one of our other donation avenues. If you would like to make a monthly contribution through your pay, then please consider Give as you Earn. It’s incredibly easy to join (you simply ask your employer to add you to the scheme, let them know who you want to support, how much you want to contribute, and that’s it!), and your employer may wish to match, or contribute, to your donation too. You can find more information about the Give as you Earn programme here: www.cafonline.org.
If you do your grocery shopping online, then please register for Give as you Live, and we will receive a donation each time you place your order from shops such as Tesco, ASDA, Waitrose, and M&S, at no extra cost to you. Simply register and opt for The Charlie Gard Foundation as your chosen charity, and we’ll receive a donation each time you purchase from one of their retail stores. An average of £100 weekly spend could raise £100 a year for us, which is a fantastic contribution for simply doing your weekly shop. For more information on how to register, please visit their website here: www.giveasyoulive.com.
And for those of you who like to use Amazon on a regular basis, then please do register for an AmazonSmile account. Similar to the above option, you will be donating funds to our charity simply by doing your everyday shopping. For more information on how to register for AmazonSmile, please visit their website here: www.smile.amazon.co.uk.
We also have a Lottery in the pipeline, which is a great way to help raise funds for our fantastic cause whilst also having a spot of fun with the chance to win up to £25,000! Please visit our lottery page for more details.
If you’d like to ask any questions about fundraising, please do drop us an email at fundraising@thecharliegardfoundation.org. If you’d like to download sponsorship forms, you can do so here.
