London Marathon Relay Raises Spirits and Funds
Sunday 26th April should have been the 40th London Marathon, but due to the unfortunate global pandemic the race was postponed. We thought about how we could get people involved in the race during lockdown and help raise funds for some of our vital projects, and the London Marathon Relay was born!
We originally asked for 26 people to participate and run/walk one mile for our cause so that we could collectively cover the distance of the London Marathon. However, the support was overwhelming and between all of our fundraisers we covered not one, not two, but TEN London Marathon distances and raised £3,718, which was a fantastic total for everyone’s efforts.
We created four lovely videos of people doing their miles for each cause, and you can still donate if you wish. Videos and details below.
