Tea Gowns and Teatime with the History Wardrobe
Sunday 14th March
4pm
VirtualTo celebrate Mother’s Day on March 14th historian Lucy Adlington invites you to join her for a charming presentation, featuring delightful 1930’s fashions from the History Wardrobe collection and fascinating stories of life in the thirties.
Find out what’s on at the pictures and who’s broadcasting on the wireless. Learn how diet and drastic underwear can help you dazzle in the sleek lines of thirties frocks, and discover how the future looks from the 1930s.
And what better way to compliment such a lovely afternoon than with a cream tea hamper! Not only will you be taken back in time to the wonder of the 1930s, but you can enjoy tea and cake too – delivered to your door prior to the event. And for every purchase you’ll also receive x2 £10 vouchers (one for you and one for your mum!) to spend in our charity shop too! (Viewing ticket only also available.)
Choose from a cream tea for two, which includes:
4 Scones
113g Rodda’s Cornish Clotted Cream
113g Boddington’s Berries Strawberry Conserve
4 Cornish Tea Smugglers Brew Tag & Envelope Teabags
Or a cream tea for four, which includes:
8 Scones

We’d love you to join us for a truly wonderful afternoon of history, tea and cakes! At a time where we can’t all be together as we would like, we’ll still ensure that everyone has a wonderful experience to share together, and you’ll be supporting our charity and our mito families too.
We’ll also have a fantastic Mother’s Day auction as well with lots of wonderful gifts for the lovely ladies in your life. More details for the auction coming soon!
Please Note
Links to the event will be sent out to attendees the night before. If you purchase a cream tea for a gift you will also receive the link for your household if residing at a different address.
